Welcome & Greetings

“Wunya '' is the Yuggera peoples word for welcome and greetings, it's from this we have taken inspiration for our design creating a space that is bright and inviting, and welcomes people into the space. We wanted to honour TAFES connection to the land and people and pay respects to the traditional custodians by paying homage to their values.

Special attention has been given to creating clear signage, a reception space visible to admin staff, an elevated breakout space separated from the corridor, selection of window coverings and the addition of 2 new meeting spaces. Considerations have been given to the budget constraints, Current office design trends, energy efficiency and acoustics to create a productive work environment.

In order to revive the space and to meet the design inspiration we have utilised soft lines and balanced the darkness of the existing carpet and added red features with expanses of natural timbers and gentle more neutral colours to create an environment that visually is appealing, utilising light and not overwhelming to spend time in.
